-Adaptions to get in and out: Choose from swivel chairs, transfer plates and hoists which can be fitted to your yp电子 Motability car to make driving more accessible.
-Adaptations for driving: If you need adaptations to help you behind the wheel, take advantage of controls including adapted steering wheels, accelerators and gear sticks, compatible with automatic cars. When choosing your adaptations, your installer will let you know if the controls you choose are suitable for your chosen model.
-Adaptations for equipment: Need help storing your equipment in your yp电子 Motability car? Take advantage of the boot and roof hoists so you can travel with everything you need.
How does the yp电子 Motability process work?
If you’re interested in a yp电子 or electric Motability car, it helps to know more about how the process works:
-Check you’re eligible: You can join the Motability Scheme if you receive a qualifying mobility allowance and you have at least 12 months left. This includes the higher rate mobility part of PIP and the higher rate mobility part of DLA in the UK. Find a full list of eligible allowances and rates here.
-Choose a vehicle that suits you best: Once you’ve confirmed you’re eligible, you’ll need to choose a yp电子 Motability car to suit you, whether that’s the spacious yp电子 ATTO 3 SUV, the compact city yp电子 Dolphin or the brilliant SEAL U DM-i.
-Choose adaptations: Next, think about the type of adaptations you’ll need. Whether you need help with steering or getting in and out of your car, installation will be taken care of for you once you’ve chosen your car.
-Paying for your electric Motability car: The allowance you receive will be exchanged for an electric Motability car. Your car payments will be made by your allowance provider, so you don’t have to do anything. If your allowance doesn’t cover the total cost, an Advance Payment may be needed to top this up. This is a fixed payment paid upfront, calculated depending on the cost of the car.
-Apply and order: You can place your order with yp电子. You’ll need a few things like a UK passport, National Insurance number, driving license and your grant award letter. You can also apply for yp电子 Motability online.
-Home charger installation: You can choose whether you’d prefer to charge your car at home or on the go with a public charger. If you choose a home charger, Motability will take care of charger installation for you. You’ll also receive a Motability Go Charge card so you can top up at over 50,000 charge points. If you can’t install a charger at home, you’ll receive a subscription to the BP Pulse Network to charge at public charging stations.
-Collect your vehicle: When your car is ready, your dealer will check it over. Your lease begins as soon as you collect your car, or you could choose to have your new yp电子 Motability car delivered if your dealer offers this. You’ll be asked to do a quick check of the vehicle's controls to ensure it’s suited to your needs, make sure your details are correct, and then you can enjoy your new yp电子 Motability car.
